What made Prashanth Neels KGF to THE KGF?
Harihar Muni
Actor Yash with Director of the film Mr.Prashanth Neel |
So basically I had experienced this magnum opus, a huge commercial project in the theatres while its, release, the KGF chapter, honestly speaking initially I was happy and had mixed reactions to take home with me, as I just stepped the theatres to experience Mass action, one-liners which would have lots of hooting and would celebrate for years also, apart from the action I had lots of confusion about the story, as there were many characters, too many plot twist and also the plot or the narrative was from the third point of view which was a non-linear story, so I was not that much interested to write or celebrate this film as the rest of the world is doing.
But two days before as the teaser was leaked and the officials
had to release its teaser, after watching that two minutes seventeen seconds
teaser I was blown away just like all you actor Yash, KGF, or action “premies”
since I decided let’s just revisit this much-awaited film of the year, and
yesterday was glued with my laptop as I was wholly into the world of KGF and
all my confusions and lost lines where joined.
This film is not only about action, gangster, or that one-liner (mass film) but
what makes this or made this film so huge, just like SS Rajamouli Baahubali, is because of its story. The film
boldly has a very layered story to deliver but along with that, it has that
most important thing or elements most action films or commercial films try to
maintain throughout the film but somehow lose connection while delivering to
the audience or simply divert it. But one should forget the name of the creator
of this worldwide grossing beautiful film director Prashanth Neel. He is truly
a master in storytelling and keeps his audience till the end of his film.
KFG this film worked so well because of these five most important elements by constructed by Neel, you better know them, Action, Brilliant background score, Colossal well-designed sets, his style or fans who already love him and now after watching something which Bollywood or Indian films had during the late 70s and 80s had in films ( style and dialogues which would end up with hooting and claps in big screens), and the most important the narrative, its story which had so much to deliver and succeeded in it, there is another thing linked with the story which was then used or experienced in Baahubali, which made every eye filled with tears. Yes, you got it right it’s the human behavior the love for mother, and the struggle Rocky’s mother goes from, and her sacrifices for her son’s better life.
This element is used in many small budget films, big-budget films where films of limited budget explain and stick totally with the story and express the emotion beautifully, whereas commercials like Raees which is based on exactly but with the same ambiance. Even the MCU’s Avengers Endgame had the same human emotion, which made everybody cry when Iron man the most favorite superhero dies.
After the glimpse of chapter 2, all the fans worldwide and so is me are so
looking forward to this monstrous film to hit theatres and witness India's
biggest action-packed we'll narrate the story on big screens and I am assured
that Prashanth Neel would not disappoint telling the crucial part of KGF series.
