My Thoughts on the trailer of JERSEY : Hindi remake of a Telugu Film.

 It is said that never judge a book by its's cover and in movies, it is said the same, too do not pass final verdict after watching a trailer you never know the teaser was intentionally cut or it was just to tease its audience like what the marvel studious are doing since years... 

 So coming to the topic a trailer is nothing but some of the film, the final project and not the final film. What happened with the recent release trailer of Shahid Kapoor's and Mrunal Thakur's JERSEY which is an official Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu same-titled film JERSEY starring Nani, Shraddha Srinath, and Sathayraj. The original film is still giving goosebumps along with holding pride of smile on the face as the story and the journey of Arjun (Nani) we get to experience from his eyes and how finally after too much humiliation, failures he stood up for himself and re-launched himself as the best cricketer in the team and kept his son's promise to gift a Jersey. 

I might be quick in judging after watching the trailer bu, the emotion, the vibe, the goosebumps I still feel while watching the film, or its trailer that did not feel after watching the Hindi remake trailer. Shahid took the box office to a whole next level after Kabir Singh was released from its trailer to songs, to its clips, and finally the film, that film was A SHAHID KAPOOR film, but the 2:53 seconds of the Hindi remake did not match up to the level, as of right from the start I felt like I am watching Kabir Singh no more "Bad Guy but, A Family Man" now, happy with his family and desire to give every happiness that a father desire to give his family, and then we see Shahid going again back into the Kabir Singh business, short-tempered, lover boy, free spirit yes, there is no substance abuse and then we go his flashback, where we see him being celebrated as one off the talented writers in the team. 

So, what made Jersey an iconic film was it's of course story, actors, the performances from the actors specially Shraddha Srinath, Ronith Kamra (the kid), and Nani along with Sathyaraj sir as the coach and other supporting casts. The music, the background score by Anirudh (The Spirit of Jersey) is still one of the most impactful tracks in the film. The emotional aspect holding throughout the film the train scene the celebration of finally being selected in the team, I assure you nobody can ever try to create the same magic that Nani had done. 

We did get to see some glimpse of the train scene in the trailer, but it did not work for me Yes, the background music was good, again gave me vibes of Kabir Singh a bit but, it was good. I am not complaining here but, just sharing what worked for me and what did not. Maybe just like after watching Arjun Reddy, I was a bit skeptical with my views but still, the Shahid blew my mind with the trailer of Kabir Singh. But this did not still, lets wait for its release I am pretty sure Fans and people who have not seen its original would love it, but Nani fans or audiences who have watched its original would still go for Nani's Jersey.
