BACK TO THE CINEMAS !!!
Cinemas, What is Cinema No, there don’t be no textual definition or explanation because it is beyond that, Cinema is love, Cinema is Emotion, Life, and also First love or many. I might cry while writing this blog but, I will try my best to not make you readers cry . . .(sarcastic pun). So basically finally Cinemas are open now after a very depressing year, many people lost their lives, many jobs, many people aren’t still with their family in some other countries cities or many are still aren’t aware whether they are alive or not. These two years have been very hard for every person but in these times the most helpful thing and the most essential thing for mankind was to get some sort of entertainment, a relief in life that will bring some smile or make people forget their pain for a while and thanks to the medium a new wave of entertainment had nearly taken the internet and content lovers to a whole new world, where entertainment was on their tip on the finger, OTT (Over-The_Top) this is nothing but the movies, series, and music which will be available on the internet, the content on OTT will be available on different content streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, Zee5 and many more the views have to paly a minimalist amount after that the viewers can see according to their choice like and dislike. The rise in content streaming was huge nad many film production houses and web series were released and launched on different streaming platforms as cinemas were closed but, Finally, worldwide cinemas are open, and steadily the theatres are re-opening. Many colossal film production houses had to release or halt for the reopening of cinemas and it went worth waiting the best examples were releasing Christopher Nolan’s most experimented film TENET which was made under a budget of 20 crores USD and it earned in millions holding a good image as many people weren’t aware of the film due to lack of promotion as Nolan films belong to a certain audience and he is pretty aware of his TG and the film earned $305 million overseas in part because people wanted to see Tenet. Another BIG film which was produced by the same production house Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures, this film Godzilla vs Kong was the next big thing which was going be released post-pandemic as the film itself has some the Giants for which fans of both the Kong and Godzilla were too excited and did not wish to miss the EPIC combating with each other. The film was made on a budget of $160 million and earned a whopping amount of $406.5 million worldwide. This reaction and love for Hollywood films won’t die or lessen ever because we all are assured that the International film fraternity would never let its audience down.
I am a sucker for Films but yes, Bollywood films specially and in this lockdown actually before the pandemic during my bachelor in Media I was fortunate enough to get introduced to many underrated films and Films from the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu film industry also a couple of Assamese films. The films were a mostly story oriented pre-pandemic film I had experience on a big screen as if I am not wrong then it was Saif Ali Khan’s Laal-Kaptaan which was also a cinematic experience, but after that films were stopped being made and released and the cinema halls were shut down too, but post-second wave when theatres were slowly reopening Tamil film industry Superstar and the makers of the film took the too risky decision of releasing the most anticipated film of the year Master starred Thalapathy Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, and Arjun Das the film was directed by Lokesh Kanagraj and had a Pan India release and the film worked very well, the fans of both Sethupathi and Thalapathy were very much curious to see them having a tough hand to hand combat at the big screens and the response was massive fans, and globally the film was a Blockbuster hit and the second film after Godzilla vs Kong was an Tamil film called which Master proved that cinema and the love for cinema would never die. Today there are many firms have been released again after a complete shutdown in Maharashtra, and films are back and not just back but with a big bang as many of the films were been played in other cities in India but were not available in Maharashtra and after the request of Rohit Shetty a.k.a Bollywood’s Commercial film hit machine director who pleads the Maharashtra CM, and finally, many International projects which were not released in Mumbai are now playing along with this Bollywood had a grand comeback with our very own Desi Avengers titled Sooryavanshi which is the fourth installment in the cop-universe, the response and the total earning of the film is yet another example that the CINEMA would stay for a long time (forever). There will be entertainment in many other forms like OTT, Short Video (TikTok, Reels), etc but the experience that theatres, big screens deliver No other medium would give you. Hence these are the reason Why I LOVE CINEMA and Theatres, the smile, the joy, the whistles when the hero punches the bad guy.
